Week of 28-SEP thru 2-OCT, 2009

Due to MAP testing in the elementary, we were unable to use the computers in the computer lab forthe 2nd grade last week.

LMC Lessons for 1-OCT: 4th Grade - We will do an activity to help us further understand fiction organization in the LMC; 1st Grade - We will listen to The Pumpkin Man by Judith Moffatt and design our own pumpkin man. LIBRARY DAY FOR 1ST & 4TH GRADES IS DAY 2.

Next week's schedule (5-9 OCT): Monday, 5-OCT: K-Jass - We will listen to Skeleton Hiccups by Margery Cuyler; 2-Tangeman - We will listen to One Witch by Laura Leuck. Friday, 9-OCT: 3-Zuehl - We will listen to Jeepers Creepers by Laura Leuck.

The MS & HS LMC's computers and the elem computer lab have all been busy being used by students taking MAP tests. Thus the 5-12 LMC's have been closed. LMC aides Mrs. Olsen, Mrs. Abels, and Mrs. Johnson have directed testing in their respective LMC. I think the ladies have done a fine job! Ask your student how the test went for them.

I attended a Teacher Librarian workshop at the AEA 267 last Thursday. It was very informational on using WEB 2.0 tools with students. I also returned with new books for all 3 library media centers. These books are fairly new but have been withdrawn from the AEA lending library to make way for new materials in their collection.
